Characteristics: The Legendary Midnight Silkie Irish is a blended Irish whiskey made by Sliabh Liag Distillers in the Donegal region. It is part of the Silkie range, inspired by the sea legends of the North Atlantic. It is bottled at 46% vol. and stands out for being a more intense and smoky version within the collection. The blend combines several triple distilled single malts, some made with peated barley, which provides a slightly smoky profile unusual for traditional Irish whiskey.

The maturation is carried out in a complex combination of barrels, including ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, virgin oak, red wine barrels and barrels that have contained stout beer. This blend provides great aromatic richness and structure in the mouth. In addition, it is presented without chill filtration and with a natural colour, which better preserves its aromas and texture. It is a whiskey designed for those looking for an Irish whiskey with more character, combining sweetness, spices and soft smoke in balance.

Tasting Notes:

• View: dark amber colour with reddish reflections, bright and of good density.
• Nose: Aromas of soft peat smoke, dark caramel, dried fruit, cocoa, candied orange and sweet spices.
• Mouth: Medium-high body, with notes of molasses, toffee, toasted wood, raisins and a delicate smoke.
• Finish: Leaves a long, warm and slightly spicy finish.
