Characteristics: Chichibu Paris Limited Edition 2025 ASAKUSA is a Japanese single malt produced by Chichibu Distillery under the Ichiro’s Malt brand. It belongs to the annual Paris Edition series, initiated in 2018 to pay tribute to the cultural link between Paris and Tokyo. The Asakusa 2025 version takes its inspiration from the historic Tokyo neighborhood known for the Sensō-ji temple and its traditional atmosphere. It is part of a collection of six labels that represent different neighborhoods of both cities. The global production is limited to 2,484 numbered bottles. The whiskey is a blend of single malts aged between 5 and 14 years, aged in 17 different casks: new French oak, sherry cask, Bordeaux red wine casks, American hogshead and several ex-bourbon casks, some with previously heavily peated whiskey. This complex maturation system provides aromatic depth, combining ripe fruit, spices and a slightly smoky background. It is bottled at 50.5% vol., maintaining an intense and structured profile typical of the distillery.

Tasting Notes:

• View: Bright amber colour with golden reflections and good density in the glass.
• Nose: Rich and complex; mango, lychee and ripe yellow fruit, honey, white flowers and woody notes with a slight touch of peat appear.
• Mouth: Silky and balanced; sweet malt, plum and mirabelle, vanilla, toast and cocoa, with a slight smoky note. Long finish with soft spices, candied fruit and elegant oak nuances.
