Characteristics: Whisky Akashi Single Malt 5 Year Old Sherry Cask is an unpainted, unfiltered whiskey with an alcoholic strength of 50%. It is an exceptional whiskey that retains all the aromatic richness to be expressed pure or slightly diluted with a few drops of water.Relatively unknown, the White Oak distillery is nevertheless part of the history of Japanese whiskey by being the first distillery in Japan to obtain a distillation license in 1888. It was only in 1919 that a discontinuous production of a barley-based alcohol began and, in 1984, a new whiskey facility was implemented.This bottling is fully in line with the tradition of this small family distillery since this Akashi Single Malt 5 Year Old comes from a single barrel, n° 61071. The result of a 5-year aging in a sherry cask.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intensely fruity with notes of vanilla.
• Mouth: Silky with notes of almonds and dried fruits typical of Sherry.
• Finish: Delicate with subtle notes of white flowers.
