Characteristics: Shin 10 Year Old Pure Malt Mizunara Oak is a Japanese single malt whisky that stands out for its balance between the oaky flavour and the incense touch of Mizunara sandalwood, combined with a bold aged malt. This whisky offers a deep tasting experience, with a prominent fruit on the palate, peppery nuances and spices that make it unique. The Shinobu distillery, located in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, is known for its dedication and patience in creating spirits, inspired by the samurai spirit. The aging process in Mizunara oak barrels gives distinctive notes of wood and oriental spices. In addition, the whisky does not contain dyes and is filtered without chill, highlighting its purity and natural flavour. With an alcohol content of 48%, it is a vigorous drink that reflects the clear Japanese structure. This whisky has been recognised with several awards, including a gold medal with 95 points at the International Spirits Challenge.

Tasting Notes:

• View: Golden amber colour, the result of its ageing in Mizunara oak casks.
• Nose: Sweet aromas of dark dried fruit such as raisins and dates, accompanied by a touch of vanilla and a slight presence of sandalwood, with a mix of oriental spices that add complexity.
• Mouth: Soft and sweet attack with vanilla and dark dried fruit, followed by a touch of sandalwood and spices. It is smooth and warm, with an unctuous texture that provides a sensation of warmth on the palate.
