1419 – CARBON CHAMPAGNE CARBON FIBER BUGATTI LIMITED EDITION BOLIDE DE 75 CL.
Main Features:
- The Vintage (Millésime): The 2013 vintage was chosen for the creation of ƎB.03. It was a late ripening year in the Champagne region, characterized by a long winter and a very sunny summer. The result is a vintage of extreme finesse, with an electric energy and a linear acidity ideal to represent the spirit of the Bugatti Bolide.
- The Blend: It is made with 100% Blanc de Blancs (Chardonnay), selected from the best vineyards of the Côte des Blancs. It is a wine of great purity, verticality and tension.
- The “Bolide” Bottle: Visually it is the most aggressive and futuristic of the collection. The carbon fiber coating combines dark blue with black carbon fiber details, and includes the iconic red “X” shape on the sides, which pays direct homage to the rear and front cross-shaped drivers of the Bugatti Bolide.
Tasting notes:
- View: It has a pale yellow colour with golden and greenish reflections, very bright. Its bubbles are microscopic, very fine and rise with a vertical speed and energy that recall the aerodynamics of the circuit.
- Nose: It stands out for its impressive and very clean initial freshness. Aromas of green citrus fruits (lime, grapefruit), white spring flowers, pieces of chalk (pure limestone minerality) and a subtle background of toast, iodine and ginger can be appreciated.
- Mouth: The entrance is pure electric tension, vibrant and very direct. The acidity is the common thread, providing immense freshness that instantly cleanses the palate. Despite its verticality, the passage through the mouth is elegant, with a fine texture of brioche that balances the whole. The finish is saline, sharp, very long and persistent.
Recommended Pairing: As it is the most vertical, fresh and electric champagne in the Bugatti collection, its pairing calls for dishes where the purity of the product, iodized touches or acidic contrasts are the protagonists:
- Cruus and high-end seafood: It is the absolute companion for a tartare of scallops with lime oil, carpaccio of red prawns from Palamós or oysters of the Gillardeau type in natural.
- Fried foods and elegant fats: Its incredible acidity cuts fat spectacularly. It is ideal to accompany a very light Japanese tempura of vegetables and prawns or fried rockfish.
- Fine white fish: It combines perfectly with a steamed wild turbot with a mild white butter sauce (beurre blanc) or a refined white fish suquet.
- Goat cheeses: Ideal with artisan goat cheeses with an ash rind or very creamy young cheeses that seek a contrast with the freshness of the wine.
Serving advice: This champagne can be enjoyed a little cooler than the previous ones due to its electric profile. The ideal serving temperature is between 9°C and 11°C, preferably in a glass that allows its subtle mineral and citrus aromas to be concentrated.
