7241 – KUJIRA 15 YEARS JAPANESE SINGLE GRAIN WHISKY BOURBON CASK LIMITED 43º – 70 Cl.
Characteristics: Kujira 15 Year Old is a single grain Japanese whisky, crafted at the historic Masahiro distillery, one of the oldest and most prestigious in Okinawa, founded in 1883. Its distillation process is carried out in traditional stills using 100% premium indica rice, an uncommon approach. It is then matured for over 15 years in sherry, bourbon and American white oak casks, which gives it an exceptionally smooth character and a silky texture. Okinawa’s subtropical climate, with its high humidity and warm temperatures, accelerates the maturation process, allowing for greater interaction between the whisky and the cask wood. This results in a complex and refined flavour profile, with fruity, woody, and spicy notes that highlight the richness of this whisky. Kujira 15 Year Old is a unique expression within the world of Japanese whisky, reflecting the heritage and innovation of the Masahiro distillery.
