7318 – SHEPHERD SINGLE MALT HIGLAND SCOTCH WHISKY 5 YEARS  40º – 70 Cl.

 Characteristics: Capturing the spirit of the hardy shepherds who roam the clouded mountains and green valleys of the Scottish Highlands, this single malt embodies the rugged beauty of the landscape. Bottled at 46% alcohol, with no added colouring or chill filtration, it retains its authentic character – a true reflection of tradition, resilience and natural purity. A tribute to a vestige of Scotland’s past that has become folklore, Highland Shepherd is, as you might have guessed, a Highland single malt Scotch whisky. The liquid comes from a single distillery and is matured in bourbon oak casks for at least six years before being bottled at 46% alcohol.

Ageing: It is matured in oak casks that previously held bourbon. Although it is commonly marketed as a 5-8 year old malt, some technical notes indicate a minimum maturation of 6 years.

Tasting Notes:

• View: Its amber hue is a direct result of its time in wood.
• Nose: Spicy orange marmalade, apple peel, digestive biscuits and dried grass.
• Mouth: Cinnamon, sour fruits, freshly cut hay and flavours of vanilla and milk chocolate.
• Finish: Honey and mixed peels.
