2933 – RED WINE CHÂTEAU DU MOURRE DU TENDRE – VIEILLES VIGNES – WINES OF FRANCE
History: For generations, the Paumel family has grown grapes in the Rhone Valley. Jacques Paumel assumed control of the estate in 1962, passing the estate to his wife Josephine in 1988. Now semi-retired, they have entrusted the management of the estate to their daughter Florence and son Paul Verité.The estate covers 25 hectares, including 3 hectares in Châteauneuf du Pape, characterized by sandy soils. Noteworthy are the Grenache vines planted in 1929 and 1942 and the Mourvèdre vines added in 1967 that contribute to their unique wines. Traditional farming methods predominate, with manual labour, no pesticides, and meticulous harvesting and sorting. The resulting wines, aged for about three years in concrete tanks and barrels, are powerful and aged gracefully.
Vinification: Manual harvest, without destemming. Crushing for 25 days in whole grapes. Aged for 30 months in stainless steel tanks, 6 months in bottle. No final filtration.
