2566 – RED WINE EL NEN DEL CELLER – D.O. MONTSANT

Characteristics: Can Blau El Nen del Celler is a red wine born in the Priorat, in the town of Molar, in full D.O. Montsant The mixture of calcareous, clayey and metamorphic soils are ideal for the cultivation of vines (more than 40 years old), where varieties such as Grenache, Carignan, Hare’s Eye and Syrah abound. However, the real benefit for these varieties is the Mediterranean climate, marked with strong notes of continentality, in an enclave surrounded by mountains that isolate it from the sea and leave the vineyards defenceless against cold winters and dry and hot summers (minimally diminished) by the influence of the Ebro River). This strong thermal contrast is a luxury for the black varieties, which need these big changes to achieve their correct maturation and development.

Cultivation: At Can Blau, each of the varieties is grown in separate plots, giving each the necessary care and the necessary time for its maturation. • View: El Nen del Celler 2021 is a juicy black, cherry red in colour, with vivid maroon edges.
• Nose: The nose shows red fruit, aromatic herbs and a slight mineral touch.
• Mouth: In the mouth it is fresh and long, with sweet tannins and good acidity. Lingering finish.

Pairing: Very versatile wine that can accompany all kinds of tapas, salads, as well as rice, grilled white and red meats, cheeses, legumes and all kinds of pasta.

Service: It is recommended to serve it between 16 and 18 ºC.
