Characteristics: Mas de Can Blau 2018 is a must for lovers of Montsant wines. The well-balanced blend of the Carignan, Grenache and Syrah varieties and an 18-month aging in new French oak barrels make up a powerful, structured wine with aromas of ripe and roasted fruit that give it a touch of elegance that lingers with the sipMas de Can Blau is the high-end wine of Wineries Can Blau, a project that the Wineries Family Gil (Gil Family States) group launched in 2003 in the D.O. Montsant At that time, the winery decided to bet on a small and little-known appellation, which had a rich plurality of soils and which allowed the adaptation of different grape varieties, both native and foreign. Today, Can Blau is a flagship winery of this designation of origin and its wines are on the menus of the best restaurants.

Vinification: DO Montsant is a steep and mountainous area that has a long tradition in the production of structured and very elegant wines. The old vines were planted in the most suitable soils for each variety; Carignan in clay-sandy soils, Syrah in calcareous soils and Grenache black in slate; bringing each variety and type of land, complexity to this unique wine. Then in the cellar each variety is fermented as indicated in stainless steel vats and then remains for 18 months in new French oak casks to produce this exclusive wine.
