2239 – GRAMONA GESSAMÍ WHITE WINE – D.O. PENEDÈS

Characteristics: Delicate and fragrant like the jasmine flower that gives it its name, Gramona Gessamí White Wine 2022 is a jovial and refreshing organic wine made from the flower must of Muscat grapes, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer. The most exquisite Penedès.

Varieties: 15% Gewürztraminer, 45% Muscat and 40% Sauvignon Blanc

Elaboration: Winery Gramona used in the elaboration of Gramona Gessamí 2022 grapes from two different varieties of muscat: muscat de Frontignan (40%) and muscat d’Alexandria (5%)-, sauvignon white (40%) and gewürztraminer (15 %). The fruits were subjected to cold pre-fermentative macerations to achieve the maximum possible aromatic extraction. Next, the grapes were gently pressed, with the aim of obtaining only the flower must, which was fermented at a controlled temperature. Finally, the cold fermentation is stopped in order to preserve the amount of residual sugar per liter, fixed at six grams.

Tasting notes:

· View: Pale yellow with bright greenish reflections.

· Nose: Aromatically, it stands out for its great intensity. Floral notes dominate (jasmine, orange blossom, roses), aniseed and chamomile infusion, together with memories of freshly cut grass and fruit (table grapes, pineapple, peach, citrus).

· Mouth: The entrance to the mouth is gentle and the passage silky. Light-bodied wine with fantastic acidity that brings great freshness.

Consumption temperature: We recommend serving it at a temperature between 8ºC – 10ºC
