Characteristics: Evade was born from the idea of ​​creating a French whisky, to demonstrate that France is also a great modern whisky nation. It is in this context that Whisky Du Monde (WDM) comes into play. WDM is above all a family business specializing in importing premium spirits from all corners of the world to our territory. Taking advantage of this experience, Whisky Du Monde has brought together several French players to develop a French whisky with qualities that have immediately conquered demanding whisky lovers.

Several French players have contributed their experience in the various stages of whisky production, from barley cultivation to distillation, barrel selection, aging and blending. Thus the Evade brand was born in 2019. The barley is grown in France and the double distillation is carried out in Charentais stills, French oak barrels and other aging barrels. These are the ingredients for the undeniable success of this whisky. The Evadé brand must be discovered. Be careful because you will succumb to its charm.

A peated version of 35 ppm from the Evade range. It is a Hamburg peat that is used to provide vegetal aromas. This whisky will take you through frank, delicate and elegant notes. Aged between 4 and 7 years in a combination of Bourbon barrels (Heaven Hill) and American oak barrels. French whisky with a natural colour! The name of the whisky is no coincidence; tasting it will take you on an escape to unknown but safe territory. With its delicacy, it will be perfect for taking your first steps in the world of peated whiskies.

Tasting Notes:

• View: It has an intense and bright golden colour, with reflections that can be reminiscent of amber or honey copper.
• Nose: It is direct and balanced. It dominates an elegant peat smoke (from Hamburg) mixed with floral notes, heather, honey and citrus touches of lemon.
• Mouth: Soft and slightly oily body. Sweet flavours reminiscent of caramel custard, vanilla cream, heather honey and honeysuckle are perceived. The smokiness is persistent but not overwhelming, complemented by notes of toasted cereals and warm spices.
• Finish: Elegant and persistent. Leaves a spicy and smoky aftertaste with herbal nuances, notes of ash and, sometimes, a subtle sweet touch reminiscent of bubblegum on the finish.
