7311 – MAC-TALLA ISLAY SINGLE MALT MARA SCOTCH WHISKY 58,2º – 70 Cl.
Features: Mac-Talla Islay Single Malt Whisky Mara is a whisky that embodies the wild and maritime essence of the island of Islay. Produced by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, a family with more than five generations in the world of whisky, this single malt reflects the influence of the Atlantic coast in its smoky, intense and salty character. The Morrison family has been deeply linked to whisky production, from their role as merchants and bottlers to the creation of their own distillery, Aberargie, in the Lowlands region.
The Mac-Talla brand, which means echo in Scottish Gaelic, pays homage to the family’s connection to Islay and the tradition of Scottish distilling. Mara, which means sea in Gaelic, captures the essence of Islay with its powerful smoky and coastal profile. Aged in ex-Bourbon American oak casks, this whisky stands out for its youthful and bold character, reminiscent of traditional whiskies from over 100 years ago. Its unchilled style and no added colourings make it a pure and authentic option, perfect for those looking for an intense and uncompromising experience. In addition, the maturation process on the island, influenced by the Atlantic winds and the characteristic humidity of the region, brings unmistakable depth to its profile. The interaction with the charred oak enhances the spicy and caramel notes, while the natural salinity of Islay gives it a dry and persistent finish.
