7207 – JAPANESE MASAHIRO PURE MALT WHISKY 43º – 70 Cl.
Characteristics: Masahiro Distillery, founded in 1883 by Shobun Higa, is one of the oldest and most prestigious distilleries in Okinawa. With roots in the traditional cuisine of the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom, the Higa family established their reputation as masters in the production of awamori before expanding into whisky. With a legacy of excellence and craftsmanship, Masahiro has managed to combine tradition and innovation, maintaining an exceptional standard of quality in each of their creations. Under the leadership of the eighth generation, Masayasu Higa, the distillery has taken its artisanal legacy to new heights with the creation of its Pure Malt Whisky.
This whisky combines malts aged in sherry and oak casks for over three years, along with a distinctive touch of Jack Daniel’s bourbon. This maturation process gives you a unique aromatic richness and depth of flavour, which is enhanced by Okinawa’s subtropical climate and the Pacific sea breeze. Masahiro’s whisky has been recognized internationally, obtaining the Gold Medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and consolidating itself as one of the most interesting expressions of contemporary Japanese whisky. This whisky is an authentic expression of Japanese distillation, with an accessible and exotic profile that transports the landscapes of Okinawa with every sip. Ideal to enjoy alone or with a light touch of water to highlight its complexity.
