Characteristics: Portofino Gin is carefully crafted in the beautiful Liguria region of Italy. The Pudel family, rooted in Portofino for several generations, maintains an exceptional tradition. The grandfather, Klaus Pudel, is a local historical figure recognized for having protected this emblematic town from destruction during the Second World War. In the 50s and 60s, he also became a renowned host of the most sumptuous parties of the glorious era of La Dolce Vita. Portofino Dry Gin is created in his honor and reflects a typical, authentic and historical Mediterranean character. This exceptional gin is distilled in an old Italian distillery, ideally located a few hours from the Clos des Spiritueux estate. Each batch is the result of a subtle alliance between traditional artisanal methods and innovative techniques. The use of an old Italian copper still, still used for the distillation of local liqueurs and grappa, is combined with cutting-edge technology that allows vacuum distillation. This unique process delicately preserves the natural and delicate aromas of the plants used.

Production: Portofino Gin is produced and bottled in Italy, from 100% natural ingredients, without any added sugar, artificial flavours or preservatives. The carefully selected botanicals include juniper berries, lemon, rosemary, lavender, marjoram and sage, offering a perfectly balanced aromatic bouquet typical of the Mediterranean. The elegant and sophisticated bottle is inspired by the charming port of Portofino where the colourful houses and green hills frame a unique panorama between the sky and the sea. Its turquoise hue evokes the purity and clarity of the Mediterranean Sea while the robust square shape recalls the traditional, refined and emblematic perfume bottles of the 1930s.
