5068 – ANÍS DEL MONO DRY of 70 Cl.
Characteristics: L’Anís del Mono Dry is a refined aniseed spirit drink. It is a dry anise made with the same selection of raw materials as the sweet Monkey Anise but with the difference that due to its higher alcohol content, it has a lower sugar content. The bottle would also be one of the most emblematic elements of this brand, since apparently, during a trip to Paris, Vicente Bosch fell in love with a bottle of perfume that he gave to his wife, to finally ask the perfumer the rights to the packaging until, in 1902, he went to register the bottle with the well-known monkey label.
Preparation: L’Anís del Mono Dry 40º is one of the most famous wines, being its unique composition due to its main ingredient: matalahúva or aniseed; to combine it with other important ones such as water (very pure), refined sugar syrup and alcohol. From here the most essential oil is extracted which will provide you with the unique bouquet typical of the Anís del Mono brand.A process that has been going on since the 19th century where distillation is carried out in copper stills, giving it the best nuances to make it a successful liqueur.
Graduation: 40% Vol.
Capacity: 70 Cl.
Tasting notes:
- View: It is an anise liqueur with a transparent and bright colour.
- Nose: The nose is very smooth and complete, with citrus notes accompanying the green anise.
- Mouth: In the mouth it has a less intense sweetness than Anís del Mono Sweet, and also some notes of coffee and liquorice.
Storage: Store in a dry, cool place protected from sunlight.
Consumption: Ideal to take as the typical Levantine mixture, ice and water. But there are other cocktails that are also successful; if you mix it with lemon, water and ice, you will know what they call the Eastern Andalusian Pigeon. You can also try the typical Sol i Sombra, the most chaste of cocktails, mixed with coffee to sweeten it.
