2975 – RED WINE CA’ VEGAR AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA RISERVA – ITALIAN WINES
Characteristics: Ca’ Vegar is short for Cantina Veronese del Garda, and now represents the highest and most complete expression of the typical wines of the area. We wanted to keep this memory alive to shed light on historicity; for us an essential value because it is a source of wisdom and knowledge. Keeping it alive is like passing on a piece of history; a bit like a father does with his son when teaching his art.
Vinification: The pressing of the grapes is gentle and the alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature of 28°c lasts 12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures first in large oak barrels for 6 months and then in vitrified concrete tanks. After bottling, it ages for 6 – 8 months.
