Characteristics: Located in the charming village of Passavant sur Layon, in Anjou, the estate extends over 50 hectares. The soils that mix shale and limestone give all their typicality to the Chenin, Cabernet and Grolleau grape varieties.At Château de Passavant they work in organic (since 1998) and biodynamic (since 2007) agriculture both in the vineyard and in the winery. This choice of production is guided by the desire to work in harmony with the natural environment. They want to create unique wines that are true to their origin, in accordance with their ideals and the quality expectations of their customers.

Description: Original vintage, emblematic for Château de Passavant and for our family. Anjou Villages Origine is a red wine that reveals the essence from Cabernets in Anjou shale. Aromatically, the wine is marked by Cabernet Franc, we find its freshness and fruity taste (wild strawberries, blackberries, etc.). The Cabernet Sauvignon brings aromatic finesse. The structure is framed by Cabernet tannins and allows for a consistent wine with good length.

Vinification: From 10 to 15 days in maceration.

Aging: from 12 to 18 months in stainless steel tanks.
