2599 – RED WINE TRANQUIL MERLOT – SYRAH
Description: You will like it if you are seduced by wines with character, but balanced, where ripe fruit and spicy touches are combined with a subtle freshness.
Elaboration: Coming from the Montagudell (52%) and Peguera (48%) estates, located in Vimbodí and Poblet (Tarragona), at 700 meters of altitude, in the Prades Mountains. Shallow clay and llicorella soils.
Varieties: Merlot 52% and Syrah 48%.
Graduation: 13.5% by Alc.
Denomination of Origin: D.O Conca de Barbera. Organic
Type of bottle and capacity: Smoked Burgundy of 75 Cl.
Tasting Notes:
- Colour: Intense cherry colour with violet rims, clean and bright. Good color intensity. Fine, slightly tinted teardrop, which falls with agility in the glass.
- Nose: Frank and expressive aromas. Notes of ripe red fruit (raspberries, strawberries) and black (blackberries) stand out, with floral touches (violets) and a slightly spicy green background (pepper, licorice, bay leaf). There is a slightly balsamic note that adds freshness and complexity.
- Mouth: Round and fresh wine, with soft tannins. Excellent balance in acidity and with an agile and pleasant mid-palate. Medium finish with hints of red fruit and a slight spicy note that invites a second glass.
Pairing: Ideal with cold cuts, grilled meat, pasta with mild sauces, tender cured cheeses or meat tartares. Also perfect to enjoy with friends in an informal gathering.
Service: It is recommended to serve it between 14 and 16 ºC.
