Description

2133 – RED WINE XALERA 2022 D.O. TERRA ALTA

Characteristics: Marco, Ruth and Gino are three people and one passion: wine. They are winegrowers who make wines with a personal character and respect for the land. They interpret Terra Alta with partly Italian and partly Catalan traditions. Its vineyards are located around Mas Vernet, an estate with the traditional clay loamy soils with a calcareous component of Terra Alta, known as Honeycomb. They practice viticulture that respects the balance of the vineyard’s ecosystem, managing the plant cover and an integrated phytosanitary management. They make their wines with the traditional varieties of Terra Alta, but also with French and Italian varieties. Their wines ferment in stainless steel vats and mature both in oak barrels and in the traditional Italian fudres (botti). A pure and personal expression of Terra Alta.

· Nose: An agile and fresh red wine, sweet and fruity.

· Mouth: In the mouth it is balanced, without harshness, with a persistent finish.

Pairing: Fruity reds are perfect for simply cooked meats, such as grilled, roasted… Perfect for elaborate vegetable dishes. Try it with meat stews or the more intense sea and mountain dishes. An ideal type of wine for pasta dishes with tomato and meat sauces or for rice with chicken, rabbit or vegetables. Season your dishes with pepper or Mediterranean herbs.
