1264 – CORPINNAT LLOPART GRAN RESERVA IMPERIAL PANORAMIC – 54 Months of Ageing

Wine characteristics: Llopart Panoramic is landscape at its best, where the classic trilogy from the heart of the Penedès shows us its kindest and broadest side, perfectly combining volume and complexity with freshness and aromatic diversity. It is one of the wines with the longest history of Llopart, with more than 45 years of age and has become one of the classics for lovers of long-aged, creamy, long and elegant sparkling wines. Its label seeks to represent the exceptional landscape “panoramic” of the Heritage.

The vineyard: Located in a unique enclave, in the municipality of Subirats, in the Alt Penedès mountain area, the Can Llopart estate comprises 500 hectares between vineyard and forest at an average altitude of 360 meters. The 102 hectares of our own vineyard are the essence of our personality. We cultivate the land in an ecological way, according to the parameters of sustainable cultivation, with the utmost respect for the environment. The peculiar geological configuration of our estate, with its rugged orography in the form of slopes and terraces, and with a shallow soil depth, gives rise to vines with a large root extension, limited vigor and one of the lowest productions in our wine-growing area.

Elaboration: Manual harvesting of the selected vines and pressing of the entire grape to maintain its properties as much as possible. We ferment the musts at a low temperature to preserve the freshest aromas in the wine. The blend of base wines is bottled at the beginning of the year and the bottles are placed in racks where, at constant temperature and humidity, in the dark, they will rest for more than 48 months. After aging, we cut the neck to remove the lees from the wine, add the expedition liqueur and cover with the definitive cork.

Tasting notes:

• Nose: Very fine bubble. Complex aromas of long aging: nuances derived from mothers, toast, honey and nuts, with light smoky touches.
• Mouth: In the mouth it is broad and structured, very creamy, with a perfect balance of sugar and acidity. Persistent taste with character.
