7402 – TEQUILA HERÈNCIA DE PLATA AÑEJO 38º – 70 Cl.
Characteristics: Herència de Plata Añejo is a premium tequila that embodies the tradition and art of Mexican distillation. Made with 100% Weber blue agave and aged for 18 months in sherry barrels, this distillate offers a unique sensory experience. Each bottle is the result of an artisanal process passed down through generations of tequila masters, who select and slowly cook the agave pineapples to extract their sweet nectar. After a double distillation in small batches, the tequila rests in sherry barrels, which gives it an unparalleled complexity and richness. This careful process has earned it multiple recognitions, including the Gold Medal at the 2015 China Wine & Spirit Awards. Sustainability also plays a key role in its production, with initiatives towards total conversion to solar energy at its facilities in Guadalajara. Its international prestige led it to be chosen for the State Dinner between President Vicente Fox and Queen Isabel II in 2002.
Tasting Notes:
- View: Deep amber colour with golden reflections, bright and clean, with dense tears in the glass.
- Nose: Enveloping aromas of cooked agave, caramel and vanilla, with nuances of rose petals and fresh herbs. The influence of sherry barrels brings notes of nuts and a slight spicy touch.
- Mouth: Smooth and silky entry with a balance between sweetness and spices. Flavours of caramel, maple and vanilla stand out, along with subtle notes of grapes and toasted wood.
