Features: Located in the picturesque Broomlands region of southeast Ireland, the 18th-century Browne farm sits on fertile, clayey soil that makes it an exceptional terroir for barley cultivation. Its privileged location, overlooking the Urrin River Valley and close to the Atlantic coast, has been key to agricultural production since the 19th century, when it was already recognized for its high productivity and soil quality.

For generations, the Browne family has worked these lands, preserving traditional farming methods that guarantee a barley grain of the highest quality. Waterford Distilled, an innovative distillery founded in 2015 by Mark Reynier, has brought the concept of terroir to the world of Irish whiskey, demonstrating how the origin of the barley influences the character and depth of each expression. Broomlands is one of its most emblematic editions, coming from barley grown on this historic farm in 2015. The combination of the fertile soil, the stable climate of the region and the meticulous selection of barrels have resulted in a whiskey with a unique identity and deeply rooted in its origin.

Aged in bourbon barrels, virgin oak and sweet wines, this whiskey stands out for its complexity and balance between spicy, malty and fruity notes. Each sip reveals the dedication and precision with which it has been made, consolidating its place as a reference in the evolution of modern Irish whiskey.

Tasting Notes:

• View: Intense apricot colour with dense tears that slowly descend into the glass.
• Nose: Pastry and fruity aroma, with notes of salted butter caramel, dark chocolate, fondant, apricot jam and a touch of citrus. Subtle nuances of green apple and cereals complement its complexity.
• Mouth: Unctuous and intense attack, with sweet spices and lemon sorbet. Malt predominates with a biscuit base and a delicate touch of toasted oak.
• Finish: They have a long and persistent finish, with a spicy and dry retro taste that leaves an elegant and balanced impression.
