Characteristics: The Japanese whisky “Double Distilleries” is a masterpiece created by Ichiro Akuto, owner of the Chichibu distilleries and the historic Hanyu. It is an exceptional blended whisky, made with single malts from both distilleries, which gives it an intense, fruity and balanced character. The Hanyu distillery, founded by Akuto’s grandfather, is today one of the most coveted on the collectors’ market, and its merger with the young but prestigious Chichibu results in a whisky that is unique in the world, with a limited production each year.

The aging in ex-bourbon barrels enhances its sweet and velvety notes, making it a distillate of the highest quality and highly valued at international auctions. This whisky is enjoyed alone, after a meal or as an aperitif. For lovers of pairings, it is an ideal companion for artisanal cigars, such as Mastro Tornabuoni Spingarda, or slow-smoked tobacco such as Mac Baren Navy Flake.
