2927 – RED WINE HÉRITAGE “AN 462” LANGUEDOC OF GÉRARD BERTRAND – WINES OF FRANCE

Characteristics: Gérard Bertrand reveals the history of the great terroirs of southern France. The year 462 evokes the beginning of the prosperous reign of the Visigoths in Languedoc. From the remains of the palace we have inherited our emblem, the cross with doves, a symbol of sharing and fraternity.

Grape varieties: Syrah and Grenache.

Vinification and aging: The different grape varieties are harvested by hand separately to obtain the optimal maturity of each one. Syrah is usually the earliest variety. The vinification process is also adapted to each grape variety, in order to respect its specific characteristics and the potential of the terroirs. Part of the Syrah is vinified in whole grapes, with an incubation period of about 15 days. The Grenache is 100% destemmed and macerated for about 3 weeks. Part of the wine is aged in 225 litters Bordeaux barrels for about 10 months, the wine being introduced into barrels when pressed.

Graduation: 14.5% Vol.

• Nose: The spicy nose reminds of cedar.
• Mouth: In the mouth it is round and voluptuous, with fresh and well-defined tannins. and well-defined tannins.
