2122 – WHITE WINE LES TALLADES – D.O. TERRA ALTA

History: The Terra Alta Denomination of Origin is the southernmost Denomination of Origin in Catalonia. This inland region has been intimately linked to wine for almost 1,000 years. Authors of the time already highlight the personality of Terra Alta wines in 1296 and 1319. A personality that manifests itself in its people and their way of understanding life

Vinification: Grenache is the big bet of Terra Alta, exceeding 40% of the production of this DO, with white Grenache being the star variety. More than a third of the world’s white Grenache production is born in this area. The Cerç and Garbí winds comb the Terra Alta favouring the ripening of the grapes, refreshing them during the hot summer and preventing diseases. The vines grow on irregular terraces, on mostly calcareous soil that is poor in organic matter. The climate is Mediterranean with continental influences.

Tasting notes:

• Nose: Aroma of ripe white fruits and minerals.
• Mouth: In the mouth it is creamy, fleshy, fresh and very seductive. Its passage through the mouth is long and silky.

Pairing: Ideal to accompany all types of Mediterranean cuisine, white meats, pasta and creamy cheeses.

Service: It is recommended to serve it between 8 and 10 ºC temperature.
