2411 – RED WINE HEREDAT OLLER DEL MAS OF BERNAT – D.O. PLA DE BAGES
History: Vineyards with a unique and millennial history. The Oller del Mas Heritage has more than 1,000 years of history. Located in the surroundings of the medieval castle, originally from the 10th century and completely restored between 1981 and 2008, the space breathes the captivating history of the Ollers: knights, nobles, prohoms, religious and master craftsmen who have left their mark on the history of the country . A place where Saint Ignatius of Loyola passed, in the 16th century, on his pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
Characteristics: Bernat is the flagship wine of the house and is the first wine we produced in the winery in 2003. It honours one of the family’s ancestors, Bernat Oller, who was a prior of the Carmelite order. It is a blend of merlot with syrah, white pepper and black pepper. Elegant, fresh and with spicy touches. It is fresh, fruity and well balanced.
Alcoholic fermentation: Use of our own yeasts selected at temperatures below 27ºC
Ageing: French oak barrels from Allier, Tronçais and Nevers and bottle with a minimum of 15 months.
Soil type: Loamy loam with low levels of organic matter.

Tasting Notes:
- View: Bright colour, medium layer cherry red well covered with maroon nuances.
- Nose: Clean, frank and very complex aromas, in which red fruit, balsamic and spicy notes stand out.
- Mouth: In the mouth it is fresh and fruity, with a well-balanced acidity.
Pairing: Spicy dishes, Soft cheeses and Red meats.
Consumption temperature: The optimal service temperature is 18ºC. It is highly recommended to open the bottle and decant it for a while before consumption.
