2225 – RED WINE SUMARROCA NOSTRAT BLACK OF BLACKS 2021 D.O. PENEDÈS

 Characteristics: The winegrowing origins of the Sumarroca family are located in the town of Llimiana, in the Lleida region of Pallars Jussà, where several generations have already dedicated themselves to the cultivation of the vine. At the beginning of the 80s they moved to the Penedes, and in 1999 they bought the former estate of the Marquès de Monistrol, the largest in the D.O. Penedès (403 ha.), today called Finca Sumarroca.

Description: Blending of Sumarroca’s most important red varieties resulting in a fresh and harmonious red.

Variety: Hare’s eye, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon

Denomination of Origin: D.O. Penedes

Graduation: 13.5% Vol.

Awards: Peñin 2019: 87 points

Tasting Notes:

· View: Ripe cherry colour with violet rim.

· Nose: Intense and fruity aroma of raspberry and cherry jams on notes of eucalyptus and fennel that denote youth.

· Mouth: In the mouth it is soft and velvety with an elegant intensity of raspberries and cherries. On the palate, balsamic notes emerge that refresh the wine. The finish is long and fruity with notes of cherry jam.

Pairing: With all kinds of meat and fish in the oven or on the grill. Fresh or semi-cured cheeses.

Service: It is recommended to serve it between 14 and 16 ºC.
