1417 – CARBON CHAMPAGNE CARBON FIBER BUGATTI LIMITED EDITION 110 ANIVERSARY OF 75 CL.
Key Features:
- The Vineyard and the Vintage: Although the car brand is based in Alsace, the grapes come strictly from selected vineyards in the Champagne region of France. This release uses a historical base from the excellent 2002 vintage, known in the region for perfect climatic conditions that provided optimal ripeness and concentration of flavour.
- The Blend: It is composed of 90% Chardonnay (which gives it freshness, finesse and aging potential) and 10% Pinot Noir (which gives it structure and body).
- The Carbon Fiber Bottle: True to the identity of the two brands, each 75 cl bottle requires a week of artisanal work. It is completely covered in authentic carbon fiber in a shiny dark blue tone, a direct nod to the iconic “Bugatti Blue” that dresses its hyper sports cars.
Tasting notes:
- View: It has a bright golden colour with evolved reflections. Its bubbles are extraordinarily fine, persistent and delicate, creating a subtle “lace of lace” effect on the surface.
- Nose: It is an aromatic explosion. At the beginning, fresh floral notes emerge that quickly open towards ripe yellow citrus fruits, roasted nuts (hazelnuts, almonds) and subtle herbal and spicy nuances derived from its long aging.
- Mouth: It stands out for its magnificent contrast. It has an intense entrance and a bright acidity that provides a pungent freshness. However, its texture quickly evolves towards a silky, creamy and full-bodied profile. The finish is long, complex, with a well-integrated ripe sweetness but maintaining a strictly dry profile (Brut).
Recommended Pairing: This is a gastronomic champagne with a lot of character, so it can withstand dishes of great intensity and unctuous textures:
- Luxury starters: It harmonizes perfectly with high-quality caviar and slices of Iberian ham (Pata Negra), where the acidity of the sparkling wine cuts the fat impeccably.
- Hot main courses: It is ideal to accompany grilled foie gras with touches of nuts, or delicate white meats such as a country chicken with morels (mushrooms) bathed in a light Comté cheese emulsion.
- Seafood and fish: Red tuna tartare, oysters gratin or baked lobster with clarified butter.
Service: Between 6 and 8 ºC.
