2576 – RED WINE LES ARGILES FROM ORTO WINES – D.O. MONTSANT
Characteristics: The origin of the name of the village of Masroig seems to come from the red color of the earth that surrounded a farmhouse located on top of a small hill. This earth was undoubtedly red clay, very abundant in the municipality.
The vineyards from which the grapes to make this wine come from are planted on clay estates.Clay is a very special earth, it is very compact and fertile, especially if it rains gently since it allows the water to penetrate the earth little by little; on the contrary, if the rain is torrential, the clay spits it out and does not retain it.The wines tend to be fresher and more agile.
