1282 – CORPINNAT GRAMONA LA CUVEE ALIANCES EXTRA BRUT 2021

This Extra Brut sparkling wine, made from a 100% Penedès blend, rests for 24 months in the stillness and silence of our cellars. The name “Aliances” pays a small tribute to the women and men who are part of the collective Alliances for the Earth.

Gramona promoted the creation of this association of wine-growing families from Penedes in 2015. Since then, it has been working collectively on continuous training in biodynamics and the preparation of preparations that are applied to the land, based on animal, mineral and vegetable elements. The interventions in the vineyard are mostly preventive and recover the ancestral wisdom of our ancestors, who have taken care of our landscape over the centuries.

Cellars: Gramona de la DO Corpinnat

Varieties: 63% Xarel·lo, 32% Macabee and 5% Parellada

Graduation: 12% Vol

Elaboration: The harvest is manual, in 25 kilo boxes. The grapes immediately pass through the selection table and then the whole bunches are pressed. Fifty percent extraction is obtained and the different fractions of the must are meticulously separated. Fifteen percent of the base wine, before being bottled for the second fermentation, is aged in 300-liter oak barrels. Once the draw is made, the bottles rest for a minimum of 24 months in the cellar. Right at the time of disgorging, a minimum dosage of 3 grams per litter is made.

Tasting notes:

· Colour: Attractive pale yellow colour.

· Nose: On the nose, with a medium intensity, it presents elegant floral notes accompanied by aromas of stone fruit, such as peach and apricot, we also find golden apple, lemon peel and pineapple and there are breadcrumbs, almond and some balsamic notes of fennel and bay leaf.

· Mouth: On the palate, it offers a friendly, medium-bodied entry that embraces the senses, with a toning carbonation with a crunchy texture. In the retro-nasal route, citrus, apple and almond memories return. It has a long, very refreshing finish.

Pairing: It is an ideal aperitif that can be extended to an entire meal.

Service: Taste at a temperature between 6 and 8 ºC
