2506 – L’ORATORI RED WINE – D.O. EMPORDÀ

Elaboration: El turó de l’Oratori is one of the emblematic estates of the winery where Grenaches predominate. The harvest of this wine is done by hand and the grapes are transported from the vineyard to the cellar in 15 kg boxes, which minimizes the oxidation of the grapes.In the cellar, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks. Once vinified, L’Oratori rests for 12 months in the old underground concrete tanks. It is at this point that the wine gains in balance and complexity, thanks to the micro-oxygenation that the concrete allows.

Varietals: 50% Black Grenache, 35% Carignan, 8% Hare’s Eye, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot and 2% Syrah

Aging: Red wine Aged in cement. 12 months in cement barrel.

Tasting note:

· Colour: The red wine L’Oratori has a bright picota red colour with cardinalalice edges, it is bright and clean. This aged red wine has a medium layer and forms a fine tear in the glass.

· Nose: Balanced aromatic ensemble of this elaborate blend dominated by fruit, lots of fresh and juicy red fruit. Cherries, blackberries and berries, nuanced.

· Mouth: With immense freshness, very tasty and with more body than we expected. This wine from Celler Martí Fabra is expressive, with a greater presence of spices and balsamics and with sweeter fruit. Excellent acidity and slightly present but very pleasant tannins. Good finish, a little warm, leaving a pleasant fruity memory.

Pairing: Ideal to pair with grilled beef, breaded pork, chicken stews and semi-cooked raw pasta cheeses

Service: It is recommended to serve it between 14 and 16 ºC.
