Features: Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu On The Way Floor Malted Limited Edition 2024 is a Japanese cult limited edition produced by Chichibu Distillery, part of the On The Way series that documents intermediate stages in the development of exceptional whiskies. This 2024 version stands out for being made with 100% barley malted on the floor, a rare traditional artisanal method that intensifies malt flavours and brings unique character to the spirit. It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring, showing a natural and expressive profile. The composition is a single malt from barrels aged between 9 and 15 years, aged in a diverse mix of casks including bourbon barrels, sherry puncheons, Mizunara hogsheads, wine casks and chibidaru which reinforces the complexity and depth of the whisky. This edition is limited to approximately 12,000 bottles globally, reflecting Chichibu’s artisanal and exclusive approach.

Tasting Notes:

• View: Deep and bright amber with natural golden reflections, without colour additives.
• Nose: Intense aromas of ripe orchard fruits such as plum, peach and kumquat, combined with honey, vanilla and sharp notes of malted barley.
• Mouth: Rich and smooth entry with creamy texture, flavours that integrate ripe fruit, sweet honey and soft spices, evolving towards a long, elegant and perfectly balanced finish with reminiscences of rustic malt and fruit.
