Waterford has worked with 86 farms, growing barley in 19 different soil types, ensuring the maximum expression of the terroir. Each harvest is treated separately, with a meticulous process that ensures the identity of each estate in each distillate. The distillery also uses advanced technology, such as its digital logistics system, to keep the harvests perfectly separated, allowing for precise distillation. In addition, Waterford uses pure water from local sources, ensuring a quality base for its distillate.
Cuvée 1.1 is made from four varieties of barley: Irina, Overture, Taberna and Propí, and its creation is a tribute to the savoir-faire that combines ancient Irish tradition with cutting-edge technology to achieve excellence in whisky production.
