5179 – MARC OF CAVA MASCARÓ
Description: This pomace, called ‘Marc of Cava’ in Catalonia, is made from the distillation of the residue from the pressing of the grape bunches. The result is an intense distillate, with nuances of white fruit and a spicy background where we can find notes of dried fruit.
Preparation: It is made from the distillation of the residue from the pressing of the grapes. The aromas specific to each variety are concentrated in the skin of the grape and the brandy is obtained through its distillation. This pomace distillate is then aged in French oak barrels from the Limousin region for a minimum of 6 years.
· View: Pale golden colour with greenish reflections.
· Nose: Intense, with nuances of white fruit, spices and nuts
· Mouth: Dry and tasty, with creamy notes and hints of wood. Good distilled background with a long and pleasant finish.
Pairing: Ideal to accompany desserts or pastries. As a digestif it is wonderful, and is a perfect accompaniment to “xopitos” sorbets or cold desserts with fruits.
Consumption temperature: It is recommended to take it at a very cold temperature (not frozen) of around 5-6º.
